Who We Are, and What We Are Doing

Who We Are

The directors of the YG Foundation are all graduates of Lexington High School, Class of 1994. We are lifelong friends, bonded through athletics. The support we received during our youth in Lexington, MA and the spirit of encouragement and possibility that embraced us helped to build a rock-solid foundation for each of us in our adult lives. We went our separate ways and miraculously we have emerged from college and our 20’s with various achievements under our belts, and a strong interest in helping those who need a little boost. As our old high school basketball coach used to say, “Yo…you catch a man a fish, he’ll eat for a day. You teach a man to fish, he’ll eat for a lifetime.” With that mantra, we have established the YG Foundation. The organization is registered as a non-profit 501 (3) c with the IRS. All contributions made to the YG Foundation are tax-deductible and can often be matched by employers.

What We Are Doing

For us, the logical way to jumpstart fundraising efforts for the YG Foundation is to host a number of events surrounding the Thanksgiving holiday. Our traditional pre-Turkey party and post-Turkey football game (The Turkey Bowl) will be the first annual YG Foundation fundraisers. The funds raised during these events will be distributed evenly among three worthy and well-researched causes, to help kids in the Boston area.
